My artistic practice from the beginning has focused on conceptual art in an attempt to visualize and aestheticize discussions and concepts that I am curious about at the time. With a specific affinity for photography and the use of series, I’m interested in the process of artistic creation itself and how photography’s awareness of medium allows me to investigate and explore this process more explicitly. My work in the past has focused on themes such as identity, ephemerality, and contradictions, while most recently I’ve been working on a photographic series focusing on intimacy, emotion, and our temporal experience of space. I draw upon my natural curiosity to use photography and other materials to capture and present ideas that are on my mind at the moment.
